With his vast 28 years of teaching experience at various capacities, Dr. AROKIA RAJ P, the young, energetic, and dynamic Principal of the school, has been an expert in teaching and administration. Having established Sainik School under the Ministry of Defence as a founder member and having taught thousands of students across the decades, his contribution to the world of education is indeed tremendous and splendid. He has worked together with Brigadiers, Commodores, and Air Marshals. His exposure to international students and travel with students across the nation and the globe has benefited hundreds of students in outdoor learning and global learning.
His love and passion for teaching, along with his student-centered teaching approach and ever-loving and cheerful style in the classroom, have earned him the title of the “Favorite Principal.” He is remembered for his meticulous planning, acumen, and complete involvement in his service to students, teachers, and parents. His classroom rapport connects well with his administrative skills, exhibiting leadership qualities in day-to-day interactions. He believes that as a teacher, he learns as much from students as they do from him. His vision is to lead students with consistent perseverance, help them discover their inner mettle and caliber, and bring out their best potential. He aims to train students to become visionary leaders and responsible citizens with self-discipline, moral values, and spiritual integrity.
He is a recipient of the Sainik Schools LBA Chairman Awards from Air Marshal PR Sinha and Air Marshal SP Singh and has also been honored with the prestigious Dr. Abdul Kalam Best Principal Award.

At the outset I congratulate the esteemed parents for admitting their children in our school BIGI. An accomplished academic leader with over a decade of experience in education, the Principal brings strong expertise in curriculum design, teacher professional development, and academic leadership.
She holds a Ph.D. in Women’s Studies, along with B.Ed., M.A., and B.A. in Economics, a Postgraduate Diploma in Women’s Studies, and an ATHE (UK) Level 6 Professional Graduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning, reflecting her commitment to internationally aligned pedagogical standards. Her academic excellence has earned global recognition, with a top 10 percentile ranking worldwide in the International Teachers’ Olympiad (December 2023). As a registered CBSE Resource Person for the Training of Trainers (ToT) program, she has played a pivotal role in mentoring educators and strengthening instructional practices across institutions.
A dedicated scholar and researcher, she has presented papers at national and international conferences and has published in reputed academic journals, including the Indian History Congress Journal. Her research on women in agricultural labour has also been featured in an edited academic volume. Through visionary leadership and scholarly rigor, she continues to guide the school toward academic excellence and holistic student development.
